STIT Tessellation Simulation Program

The STIT tessellation model (STable under the operation of ITeration of tessellations) was first introduced in

Nagel, W. and  Weiß , V.: Crack STIT tessellations: characterization of stationary random tessellations stable with respect to iteration.
Adv. Appl. Prob.  37 (2005), 859-883.

This model can be used as a reference model for crack/fissure/fracture structures in materials science or geology.
